The sewn and ironed curtains and drapes will be sent to you by courier.

In recent years, we have seen a great deal of progress in the subject of mounting systems for window decorations. We now have curtain rods that can be mounted to both the wall above the window and the ceiling. These can be either decorative (metal, wooden, traditional) or more modern curtain rails, and can be appropriately matched to virtually any interior style. On the other hand, mounting solutions on the so-called grommets are going out of fashion; they are used basically only at the express request of the client and are not currently promoted for elegant window decorations.

Overview of typical fastening solutions for curtains and drapes

Curtain poles with clips

Curtain poles with clips make it possible to move the decoration freely along the curtain pole.

The pull rods are the fastening element; modern solutions usually aim to conceal the pull rods. For this purpose, the curtain or drape is sewn onto a suitable tape with a ruffle that conceals the curtain rod pulls.

Installation directly on the curtain rod without pull pins

Solutions in which the curtain or drape is hung directly on the curtain pole without the use of handles are also very popular.
A so-called "tunnel" is used for this or a so-called "brace tape" is sewn on.
These solutions make it easy to position the curtain or drape on the curtain pole without having to use tension rods.
However, it should be borne in mind that with this method of fixing window compositions, the curtain rail must be pulled from the brackets every time a curtain or drape is to be removed.

Attachment to a rail/sash with hooks or clips

Rails of this type are usually only fixed to the ceiling. The track is approx. 1 - 3 cm high and barely visible from the ceiling. It can also be covered with a cover moulding (blind).

It is also possible to install two parallel tracks under the ceiling, one for e.g. curtains and the other for drapes (or to use a double or triple track). The window compositions are attached to the track with hooks or clips.

The tapes we sew in have the option of using a hook in two positions, allowing the height of the curtain or drape to be changed easily (by approx. 1 cm).

Wave hinge rail

A modern solution that we recommend is the use of the wave tape rail as an alternative to the curtain rail. The curtains/curtains are attached to this rail with the sewn-in wave tape and the pressed-in plastic "snails".

With the wave tape, the folds of the curtains or drapes can be arranged elegantly and evenly, regardless of whether they are pushed together or pulled apart. A major advantage of this solution is the quick and easy assembly and disassembly of the decoration for washing/cleaning.

Regardless of which hanging system you choose, it is important to pay attention to the following for correct installation:

  • Correct size: It is important to measure the window precisely and adjust the size of the curtains or drapes to the dimensions. This ensures a perfect fit and an aesthetically pleasing composition in the room. In the illustrations below, we show how to measure depending on the type of fastening system:

  • Careful sewing: Curtains and drapes should be sewn carefully, with even seams and great attention to detail. The experience and specialisation of the seamstresses in sewing window decorations is particularly important here. Our seamstresses, ladies with many years of experience in this field, are second to none.

  • Ironing: Before hanging, it is advisable to iron the curtains or drapes so that they are smooth and look elegant. Therefore, the window compositions that are created under our hand are ready to hang, ironed and modelled to fit the window.
  • Matching the style of the interior: curtains and drapes should harmonise with the rest of the interior, the colour of the walls, the furniture and the overall style. That's why we not only offer you the support of our experts, but also the unique and only window decoration visualisation app on the market. With the iDESCU app, you can see on a photo of the window which arrangement suits our room best, how the individual fabrics look, which patterns harmonise best with our interior.
