Advantages of the Roman blind
Shading roller blinds work particularly well on the south side, where the sun's rays are strongest. In the case of the roller blind, we literally only need a few centimetres of free space outside from the blind in order to be able to install it correctly and use it easily.
Convenience of using the roller blind is another feature that makes Roman blinds rapidly gaining more and more followers. The aesthetically pleasing chain hanging from the side of the mechanism (available in various colours), ensuring fast retraction and extension of the roller blind to its size - is a great convenience in its everyday use.
Installation of the Roman blind
The basic types of installation of the Roman blind mechanism include mounting it to the wall, mounting it to the ceiling and mounting it to the window frame. It is this last method (installation on the window frame) that allows us to install the roller blind relatively easily without drilling into the wall or window frame.
Mounting the mechanism for the roller blind on the window frame works very well in interiors where we change the type of decoration used so far from, for example, a curtain to a Roman blind. In this case, the curtains are simply removed and the roller blinds are mounted on the window frame instead. We can remove the curtain rods installed above the window or use them to hang narrow decorative curtains on the sides, which (if well chosen) will perfectly match our new Roman blind.

Installation without drilling
The installation of the Roman blind on the window frame does not require any power tools, extra strength or manual skills and can be performed by virtually anyone, man or woman. The mechanism is installed using special brackets supplied with the roller blind, which are attached to the window frame.
In the case of decorative roller blinds, which we do not plan to roll up and down, installation without drilling is even simpler. Roller-shutters with fixed brackets are manufactured without a mechanism for rolling up the fabric and are fixed to the window frame with tape ("velcro" tape). Their advantage is a considerably lower price than the cost of installing roller blinds with a mechanism. In addition, fixed roller blinds allow the window to be opened practically fully, which is not always possible in the case of a non-invasively mounted Roman blind with a mechanism.
